9/30/2026 – It feels like just a little while ago that I posted the words “I did my first harvest yesterday”, and now I am a month past my last harvest. Whitmore Lake’s last market was this past weekend, and my other outdoor markets will be wrapping up at the end of October, so I am updating my market calendar to reflect my indoor markets in 2026 and early 2027. This October is the 100th anniversary of the first publishing of Winnie the Pooh. To recognize the occasion, I will continue to offer my glass honey bears, and have added a few small honey pot bottles. They should make great gifts.
Becky’s Birds and Bees is a small apiary business harvesting and selling local honey produced by bees raised in SE Michigan. I hope you will use my web site to learn more about me, the farm and beekeeping in general. Look for information about my beekeeping philosophy and my honey at the About and Honey tabs, learn about the land I am beekeeping on at the Green Acres tab, and read stories about the happenings of the farm, and about beekeeping, at the Farm Stories tab. I sell honey from a self service stand at the farm when the weather is warm enough to keep it out. I will also sell at 3 farmers markets, Dexter, Chelsea and Whitmore Lake.

If you are wondering about the ‘birds’ I also raise free range chickens and have added a handful of ducks, who are happily occupying my neighbors pond (with their permission, of course!) At this time I have enough established eggs customers to use all the eggs I am producing but occasionally a customer drops off, so if you would like to be on a waiting list, let me know.
